I feel I really need to write this, since a god damn long time I hadn’t write anything and I now come to the realization that writing might one of my path to achieve the stillness momentary space in my life. It’s midnight, 2 AM in my computer clock showing, and this time I want to declare or make a disclaimer first that I will not edit this writing at any cost, because I want to truly let things flow from my mind into a writing. I wouldn’t even care about the grammatical, or work my arse off to check the thesaurus so things turn out to be beautiful, I just want to let this pass.
Just less than an hour I go I watched Riz Ahmed plays in the Sound of Metal, so I want everything I’ve learned from this movie. This movie portrait the man named Ruben perfectly as a medium for the general audience to really understand what it becomes to be audible. At first I kind of arguing that this movie would only tell me about the a drummer’s struggling to embrace the life of a disabled, deaf. I thought that he would go with the stillness idea that his mentor had taught him, living in an isolated hearing impaired community, letting go of the past and embracing a brand new home. However it’s only the tip of the iceberg that being shown on the trailer, damn this director really understand what should be kept as a diamond of the show.
Even though yes it’s true like 80% percent of the film takes place at the probation house, and in that place the man learns how to fully accept himself. Yet the most important part is not the phase of accepting, but the part of understanding where you actually belong.
He had made a promise to Lou that he’ll be back to her lap after everything is over, the implant, probation, a definitive mental state, and in that journey he keeps alive all his promise even cost yourself to become a violative person. It’s understandable that keeping up with dreams is his main objective, so he did everything and succeed to made his way.
Goddamn I feel really sleepy right now, so you definitely have to watch this movie. They’ll bring you a total new experience of sound-hearing. And guaranteed you’d finish the movie with a slight dose of blissful feeling
